> Every PixelGlass site serves llms.txt, a Markdown twin of every post, feeds and a sitemap. Here is what you add, by hand or with your agent.

Answer engines read pages to answer questions. **Every PixelGlass site hands them clean Markdown**: an llms.txt map and a .md copy of every post. What is left for you is good words.

## By hand, in the admin

1. In **Settings › General**, give the publication a clear **Title** and **Description**. They open your /llms.txt.
2. Publish. Each post and page joins /llms.txt with a link to its Markdown twin: its own address with .md at the end.
3. In a post's **Post settings**, open **Meta data** and write a **Meta description**. Without one, the excerpt is used.
4. Open yoursite/llms.txt, /feed.json, /rss and /sitemap.xml to see what a crawler reads.

While a site is private, its robots.txt keeps every crawler out. A public site lets them in, and keeps them out of the admin and off preview links.

## With your agent

> Write a meta description for each of my twenty newest posts, one plain sentence each.

> Rewrite my publication's description so it says in one sentence who it is for and what it covers.

> Write an /about page that says who writes here, about what, and since when.

The tools it calls: `list_posts`, `get_post`, `update_post_settings`, `update_publication`, `write_site_page`.

## Examples

- **A recipe site an assistant can cite.** A home cook asks her agent for a meta description on every recipe. **Each one says the dish, the time and the one trick**, the sentence an answer engine quotes.
- **A clear line at the top.** A local history society rewrites its description from a slogan into one plain sentence, and its llms.txt now opens with what the society covers.
- **An about page in the map.** A solo analyst adds an /about page. It joins the Site pages of her llms.txt, so a model that reads her site knows who wrote it.

## Questions

### Does PixelGlass have an llms.txt?

Yes. Every PixelGlass site serves /llms.txt: the site's title and description, then every published post and page with a link to its Markdown twin, the site pages, the feeds and the sitemap.

### What is a Markdown twin on PixelGlass?

The same post as clean Markdown, at the post's address with .md at the end. Every post and page has one, and its page links to it, so an agent reads the words without the theme around them.

### Do AI crawlers see my paid posts on PixelGlass?

No. A post for members or paying members is locked in its Markdown twin and its feeds too, so a crawler gets no more of it than a visitor who does not pay.

### Does PixelGlass block AI crawlers?

No. A public PixelGlass site lets every crawler read it, keeps them out of the admin and off preview links, and points them to the sitemap. A private site keeps every crawler out.

### Can my agent improve how my posts read to answer engines?

Yes. An editor's agent writes posts' meta titles and descriptions with update_post_settings. An admin's agent also rewrites the publication's description with update_publication and writes pages such as an /about with write_site_page.
