# Say who you are. Once, and well.

> Write an About page in the editor and put it in your menu, or let your agent build it as a page of its own design. By hand or with your agent.

An About page on PixelGlass is a page you write in the editor, like a post with no date. Or it is a site page your agent writes as a file, **with a layout of its own**, live the moment it is written.

## By hand, in the admin

1. Open **Pages** in the navbar and press **New page**.
2. Write the title, About, and the page in the same editor as a post. Set its address in **Post settings**.
3. Press **Publish**, then **Next**, then **Publish** with When on Now. A page goes to the site, never to the newsletter.
4. As an admin, open **Settings › Design** and press **Edit** beside Navigation.
5. Under **Link to…**, choose the page from **Pages**, then press **Save**.

## With your agent

> Make an About page from the bio below, and add it to the menu after Home.

> Build an About page with our three founders side by side, each with a photo and two lines, in the site's own look.

> Put the About page back the way it was yesterday.

The tools it calls: `create_post`, `publish_post`, `list_site_pages`, `write_site_page`, `edit_site_page`, `render_page`, `site_pages_history`, `restore_site_pages`, `set_navigation`.

## Examples

- **A one-woman studio.** A ceramicist writes her About page in the editor in ten minutes and **puts it first in the menu**.
- **A team page with a grid.** A small architecture firm asks its agent for an About page with a grid of partners. The agent writes it as a site page, checks it, and sends the address.

## Questions

### How do I make an About page on PixelGlass?

Open Pages, press New page, write it and publish it. Then add it to your menu in Settings › Design, under Navigation.

### What is the difference between a page and a site page?

A page is written in the editor, like a post with no date. A site page is a file in your site's folder, written by your agent, with its own layout or none, and live as soon as it is written.

### Can I undo a change to a site page?

Yes. Every write is a version. On the Pages screen, Site pages has a History, and Restore brings any version back. An agent does the same with restore_site_pages.

### Who can make site pages?

Admins and the owner. Editors and authors write pages in the editor.

### Can my agent make an About page for me?

Yes. It writes a page from Markdown with create_post, or an admin's agent writes a site page with write_site_page, checks it with render_page, and adds it to the menu with set_navigation.
