# Every version kept. Any one back.

> Post history keeps the last 50 versions of every post. See what changed, who changed it, and restore any version in the editor.

PixelGlass keeps the last 50 versions of every post: your saves, each publish, and each change an agent made. **Show what changed, and restore any of them** from the editor.

## By hand, in the admin

1. Open the post in the editor and press the clock beside the header's buttons. Post history opens.
2. The versions are newest first, each with who made it and what: Edited, Saved, Published, Via an agent and more.
3. Pick a version, and press **Show changes** to mark what is new against the version before it.
4. Press **Restore this version**. The title, the subtitle, the body and the feature image come back.
5. The version you left stays in the history, so a restore is never the last word.

## With your agent

No agent tool reads or restores an older version of a post; get_post says only how many there are. Every write your agent makes is a version of its own, labelled Via an agent, so you restore it from Post history in a click. In the same conversation, your agent can also put back words it changed with edit_post.

## Examples

- **The paragraph that was better before.** A columnist rewrites her ending three times, then **restores the version from Tuesday morning**.
- **An agent's edit, undone.** A shop owner asks his agent to shorten a product post. He reads it, prefers the long one, and restores the version before the one labelled Via an agent.
- **Two editors, no lost words.** Two editors save the same post a minute apart. The second save is refused and kept as a version, so nothing either of them wrote is gone.

## Questions

### How do I restore an older version of a post on PixelGlass?

Open the post in the editor, press the clock to open Post history, pick a version and press Restore this version.

### How many versions does PixelGlass keep?

The last 50 versions of every post. Autosaves in one ten-minute writing session fold into one version; a save, a publish and a restore each start a new one.

### What does a restore bring back?

The title, the subtitle, the body and the feature image. Settings such as tags and who can read stay as they are.

### Can I see who changed a post?

Yes. Each version in Post history names the person who made it, and a change an agent made is labelled Via an agent.

### Can I undo what my agent wrote?

Yes. Each agent write is its own version in Post history, made in the name of the person who connected the agent, and Restore this version takes it back.
