# Write it today. Let it go out on Friday.

> Pick a day and a time, and PixelGlass publishes the post on that minute, with its newsletter if you chose one. By hand or with your agent.

Choose Later on the publish page and pick the time in your site's own time zone. **The post goes live on that minute**, and an email you chose goes out with it.

## By hand, in the admin

1. Write the post and press **Publish** in the editor.
2. On the publish page, choose where it goes and press **Next**.
3. Under **When**, choose **Later** and pick the day and the time. Your site's time zone shows beside it.
4. Press **Schedule**. The posts list shows it under Scheduled.
5. To move it, press **Reschedule** in the editor. To stop it, press **Unschedule**, and it is a draft again.

## With your agent

> Schedule the post “Autumn opening hours” for Friday at 8:00.

> Which posts are scheduled for next week?

> Take the Tuesday post off the schedule and put it on Thursday at the same time.

The tools it calls: `list_posts`, `publish_post`, `unpublish_post`.

## Examples

- **A newsletter that lands at breakfast.** A cycling club writes its race report on Sunday night and **schedules it for Monday at seven**, for the site and the newsletter.
- **A week of posts in one afternoon.** A gardener writes five short posts on a Saturday and asks her agent to schedule one for each weekday at noon.

## Questions

### How do I schedule a post on PixelGlass?

Press Publish in the editor, press Next, choose Later under When and pick the time. Then press Schedule.

### Which time zone does a scheduled post use?

Your site's time zone, from Settings › General. The publish page shows it beside the time you pick.

### Can a scheduled post go out by email?

Yes. Choose Email or Site and email on the publish page before you schedule. PixelGlass sends the email when the post goes live.

### How do I change or cancel a scheduled post?

Open it in the editor. Reschedule leads back to the publish page for a new time, and Unschedule makes it a draft again.

### Can my agent schedule posts on PixelGlass?

Yes. An editor's agent schedules a draft with publish_post and a time, in the site's time zone, and takes it off the schedule with unpublish_post. The agent schedules the post for the site; an email goes with it only from the publish page.
