# Sent is the start. Opened is the answer.

> Every send has a campaign page: emailed, delivered, opened and clicked, the clicks on each link, and every recipient with what their copy did.

Every post that went out by email has a campaign page. **Emailed, delivered, opened and clicked** sit beside the post's views, visitors and comments, and every recipient is listed with what their copy did.

## By hand, in the admin

1. Open **Posts** and press the chart beside a post that went out, or open **Dashboard › Campaigns** and pick a send under **Emails sent**.
2. Read the figures at the top: **Emailed**, **Delivered**, **Opened** and **Clicked**, with the post's **Views**, **Visitors** and **Comments**.
3. Under **Links**, see the clicks and the readers for every link the email carried. Press **Edit** to send a broken link somewhere new.
4. Under **Recipients**, search names and addresses, filter by **Status**, and sort by **Recently opened**.
5. To reach readers the send missed, press **Send to more readers**. Nobody gets the same email twice.

Editors and above see every campaign, and an author sees the campaigns of their own posts. The recipient list is for editors and above.

## With your agent

> Give my next issue a title that makes readers open it. The title is the subject line.

> Rewrite the subtitle of my draft so the preview line in the inbox says what the issue is about.

The tools it calls: `get_post`, `update_post_settings`.

No tool reads a send's figures or its recipients, so your agent cannot tell you who opened. Read them on the campaign page, then ask your agent to shape the next issue.

## Examples

- **The link that broke.** A gallery sends its opening night with a ticket link that 404s. **The curator fixes the link on the campaign page**, and every copy already sent follows the fix.
- **The readers who came late.** A newsletter about local politics gets a hundred sign-ups the day after a send. Send to more readers gives them the issue, and nobody else gets it twice.
- **Who opens, by name.** A coach sorts the recipients by Recently opened, and writes to the five clients who read every issue.

## Questions

### How do I see who opened my newsletter on PixelGlass?

Open the post's campaign page from the posts list or from Dashboard › Campaigns. Under Recipients, every reader is listed with their copy's status, and you can sort by Recently opened.

### Which numbers does PixelGlass show for a newsletter?

Emailed, delivered, opened and clicked for each send, the clicks and readers for every link, bounces, spam reports and failures, and the post's views, visitors and comments.

### How does PixelGlass count opens and clicks?

PixelGlass counts opens with its own one-pixel picture in each reader's copy, and clicks through its own links, with known bots left out of the clicks.

### Can I fix a link after a PixelGlass newsletter is sent?

Yes. On the campaign page, press Edit beside the link and type the new address. Every copy already in readers' inboxes goes to the new address, and Restore takes it back.

### Can my agent read my newsletter's open rate?

No. No PixelGlass agent tool reads a send's figures or recipients yet. Read them on the campaign page or under Dashboard › Campaigns, which shows the open rate and click rate for a period.
