Community
Readers who stay,
and talk back.
PixelGlass gives every publication a member community: readers sign in with a code by email, comment and vote under your posts, and wear the badges you give them. Your team moderates it all from one screen.
14 days free. Every feature on every plan.
Members
No passwords.
Just a code.
Readers sign up and sign in with a six-digit code sent to their email. The sign-in screens wear your theme's colours and fonts, and open over any page of your site.
- A face for every member, in your chosen style
- Readers edit their name and choose their lists
- One roster for every reader, free or paid
Conversation
Discussion on
your own ground.
Members comment under posts and reply to each other. Votes bring the best comments up, and readers sort by best or newest. Comments are plain text, so the talk stays about the words.
- Open to the readers a post is for
- Comments on posts, and on pages when you want them
- A notification for every new comment
Recognition
Badges that
mean something.
Make a badge with a name, a description and a picture, and give it to founders, contributors or long-time supporters. It shows beside their name on every comment they write.
Moderation
You set the tone.
You keep it.
Editors see every comment on one screen. Hide one, show it again or delete it with its replies, and ban a member from commenting while they keep reading.
- Community
Members, unlimited
No plan limits members, posts or pages. Plans differ only in email and storage.
- Community
Notified, not buried
Sign-ups, new comments and milestones arrive in your team's notifications.
- Community
Moderated by roles
Editors and above moderate. Authors write. Owners run the whole publication.
Questions about members and comments
- How do readers sign in to a PixelGlass site?
- With a six-digit code sent to their email. There is no password to remember. Signing up is the same, with a name added.
- Who can comment on posts?
- Any signed-in member who may read the post, free or paid. A paid post's comments are open only to the readers it is for. You can turn comments off for any post.
- Can members reply to and vote on comments?
- Yes. Members reply to a comment, vote comments up or down, and sort them by best or newest. Comments are plain text, up to 5,000 characters.
- How do badges work?
- You make a badge with a name, a description and a picture from your media library, then give it to members on their page or through the MCP server. The badge shows beside the member's name on their comments.
- How do I moderate comments?
- On the Comments screen, editors hide a comment, show it again, or delete it with its replies. On a member's page, staff can ban the member from commenting. A banned member can still read.

The bit about the regulars' table is exactly what happened to us in Daegu. We doubled our list in a year.
