Search, AI search and analytics

Right now,
who is on the site.

Beside the Dashboard's title is one line: the visitors on your site now. It counts everyone seen in the last five minutes, and asks again every half minute while the screen is open.

Say it to your agent

The launch post is busy right now. Add a line at its top that links to the follow-up.

Two ways to do it.

By hand

In the admin

  1. Open Dashboard. The line beside the title says how many visitors are on the site now.
  2. Leave the screen open. The count changes every half minute, with no reload.
  3. Choose Today. The chart is drawn by the hour, and each figure shows its change from yesterday at the same hour.
  4. Open Web traffic with Today chosen: Pages shows what was read today, and Sources where the readers came from.

The count is a number, never a name: PixelGlass keeps no cookie and no address. Staff signed in on the site are not counted.

With your agent

In Claude, ChatGPT or your editor

No tool reads the Dashboard or the live count, so an agent cannot see who is on the site. Watch the count here, and ask your agent for the post or the edit the moment calls for.

For example

  • A launch, watched

A product newsletter sends its launch issue and keeps the Dashboard open. The count climbs in the first ten minutes, and Sources shows the newsletter first.

  • A post that went round

A local news site sees the count jump on a quiet afternoon, chooses Today, and finds one post at the top of Pages, shared in a neighbourhood chat.

Questions, answered

Can I see how many people are on my PixelGlass site right now?
Yes. The Dashboard shows the visitors on the site now beside its title: everyone seen in the last five minutes, counted again every half minute while the screen is open.
Does PixelGlass show who the live visitors are?
No. The live count is a number. PixelGlass analytics keep no cookie and no IP address, so a visitor is never a name.
Can I see today's traffic by the hour?
Yes. Choose Today on the PixelGlass Dashboard, and the chart is drawn by the hour, and each figure shows its change from yesterday at the same hour.
Do my own visits count as live?
No. Staff signed in on the site's address count nothing on PixelGlass.
